1.5 Returning Goods After Cancellation

Unless we offer to collect the goods, return them to Sew And Save Limited, trading as The Fabric Story Studio, 10 St Abbs Court, Milton Keynes, MK4 3FW, United Kingdom, without undue delay and within the applicable period. We recommend obtaining proof of postage.

1.6 Return Costs for Change-of-Mind Returns

Where law permits us to require the customer to bear direct return costs and the required information was supplied before contract, the customer will be responsible for those direct costs. Different rules may apply for faulty, damaged, misdescribed, incorrect, unsafe or non-conforming goods.

1.7 Condition and Handling of Returned Goods

You may inspect goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Where permitted by law, reimbursement may be reduced to reflect diminished value caused by excessive handling.

1.8 Fabric Cut from a Bolt or Roll

Some fabrics are supplied by cutting a selected quantity from a bolt or roll. UK law contains an exception for goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised. The Fabric Story Studio does not state that every ordinary fabric length cut from a bolt or roll automatically falls within this exception. Where a product genuinely falls within an exception, the position will be assessed according to the product and circumstances and communicated before purchase where required.

1.9 Standard Pre-Cut Products

Where a product is a standard stock item, such as a pre-prepared fat quarter, pre-cut half metre or standard bundle, normal statutory cancellation rules may apply unless a lawful exception applies.

1.10 Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, unsafe, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming, contact info@fabricstorystudio.co.uk. Provide the order number, a description and photographs where reasonably helpful. Requests for information do not remove statutory rights.

1.11 Colour Differences and Pattern Placement

Minor screen-to-product colour variation is not automatically a defect. Motif placement may vary between cuts unless a particular placement was expressly promised. These statements do not affect rights where a product is materially misdescribed.

1.12 Pre-Washed and Unwashed Products

Check the relevant product description. Some products may be pre-washed while others are supplied unwashed. Natural-fibre fabrics may shrink, release colour or change in handle following washing. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

1.13 Refund Timing and Method

Valid statutory cancellation refunds will be made within applicable legal timescales. For goods, reimbursement may be withheld until goods are received back or evidence of sending is supplied, whichever occurs first, subject to law. Refunds will normally use the original payment method unless otherwise agreed and legally permitted.

1.14 Delivery Charges

Where required following valid statutory cancellation, the relevant standard outbound delivery charge will be reimbursed. Additional cost from choosing a more expensive delivery method may not be refundable.

1.15 Exchanges

We do not guarantee an exchange service. Where offered, exchanges are subject to stock availability. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

1.16 Trade-Show and In-Person Purchases

Different change-of-mind rights may apply to in-person purchases. A customer does not automatically have the same statutory cancellation right for an ordinary in-person purchase as for many distance purchases. Rights concerning faulty, unsafe, misdescribed or non-conforming goods remain unaffected.
